Important information before injecting your lips with hyaluronic acid

To ensure that your lip injections go as smoothly as possible, there are a few things you should bear in mind beforehand. Above all, this will minimize possible side effects such as swelling or minor bruising and your result will be just as you want it to be.

No alcohol or nicotine

Alcohol and nicotine can increase swelling and slow down the healing process. It is better to reduce your consumption 24 hours before and after lip injections with hyaluronic acid, or even avoid it altogether if you can.

Medication

In particular, blood-thinning medication such as aspirin or ibuprofen should be avoided. It is best to consult your doctor about this.

No care products

We recommend that you wait 24 hours before and after applying lipstick, lip care products or cleansing your lips. This will prevent irritation or infection.

Herpes

Possible side effects of lip injections

Shortly after injecting filler, you may experience minor “side effects” such as swelling, small bruises or small bruises. You will probably also notice a feeling of tightness in the upper or lower lip. However, this is nothing to worry about and is a completely normal reaction to lip augmentation or sculpting with hyaluronic fillers. These symptoms should disappear after 3 to 7 days at the latest.
