Your doctor or specialist will analyze your jaw muscles and facial expressions in advance during a consultation to determine the optimal dose of botulinum toxin.

During the application, the active ingredient botulinum toxin is injected into your masseter muscle and your lower jaw using super-fine needles. The treatment is virtually painless for you and only takes a few minutes.

You will feel the first effects 5-7 days after use: You grind your teeth less and have significantly fewer or even no more headaches. Face Slimming starts approx. 2-4 weeks after your application and ensures a narrower jawline - in keeping with the coveted V shape.

The right care after your application

Sport and physical activities

Avoid intensive sporting activities for approx. 72 hours after the Masseter injection. This allows the product to work undisturbed and your result will be just as you want it.

Intense heat and sun

Also avoid the sun, sauna and the like for three days, as heat can affect the result.

Alcohol and nicotine

Alcohol and nicotine can increase swelling and slow down the healing process. It is better to reduce your consumption a few days before and after the injection, or even abstain completely if you can.

Facial massages

After your treatment, do not go to the areas of your face that have been treated. So do not massage the lower half of your face. Otherwise you run the risk of the botulinum toxin slipping and affecting the result.

Regular refresher

You can repeat the therapy every three to five months. This will help you keep a slim face in the long term.

Redness & swelling after application

Slight redness or swelling in the jaw area is completely normal and usually disappears on its own a few hours after the procedure.

Makeup and skincare

We recommend that you wait 24 hours before applying make-up (especially to the lower face) and facial care. In our experience, creams and facial cleansers can further irritate the skin and promote bacterial infections.

How long does the effect of botulinum toxin last?

Face slimming usually lasts between three and four months. Your body breaks down the muscle relaxant on its own, after which the muscle activity and drooping corners of the mouth slowly return.

As the injection into your masseter is carried out using very fine syringes, the injection is barely noticeable to you and usually causes no pain. In some cases, slight side effects such as minor bruising or swelling may occur. On request, we can apply an anesthetic cream to the area beforehand.
The injection of the muscle relaxant usually works quite quickly. Our patients feel the first effects about 5 days after the Masseter treatment. The full effect unfolds after two weeks for less crunching and after approx. 3-4 weeks for face slimming.
